MS Industrie AG: publishes voluntary Sustainability Report 2023

München (pta016/16.05.2024/10:30) - For MS Industrie AG (WKN 585518; ISIN DE0005855183) sustainability is an integral part of its corporate strategy. The MS-Industrie Group's Sustainability Report for the aspects of environmental, employee and social issues, respect for human rights and the fight against corruption and bribery is carried out on a voluntary basis. The group produces at five locations worldwide, in Germany, the USA, Brazil and China. MS Industrie Group operates exclusively in the business-to-business sector and does not supply any products to end consumers.

The group's energy consumption varies greatly between the two business areas. Due to the use of machines, which are generally used in three-shift operations, the production activities of the "MS XTEC" business area tend to be characterized by higher energy consumption than the production of the "MS Ultrasonic Technology" business area, which is characterized more by engineering and assembly work.

Dr. Andreas Aufschnaiter, member of the management board of MS Industrie AG: "Since 2020, MS XTEC has been striving for an annual reduction in CO2 emissions in order to achieve the long-term goal of "zero carbon" emissions by 2045. At the Trossingen location we operate the largest industrial photovoltaic system of the entire district. At the Spaichingen site, the electricity purchased from hydropower is already 100% CO2-neutral."

Qualified and motivated employees represent an essential basis for the long-term success of the MS Industrie Group. "The group's personnel policy orientation is aimed at maintaining its own education capacities at a relatively high level in order to address a shortage of skilled workers and prepare future managers specifically for demanding tasks," says Armin Distel, member of the management board of MS Industrie AG.

At all five locations, suppliers are obliged to comply with human rights and are instructed accordingly. Overall, the MS Industrie Group sources a significant portion of its raw materials and finished parts, which are used in production, either from predefined suppliers or from internationally operating corporations.

The MS Industrie Group has an internal reporting system ("whistleblower policy"), which is intended to contribute to the efficient detection and, if necessary, sanctioning of possible or actual violations of the group's code of conduct, particularly with regard to offenses of corruption and bribery.

MS Industrie AG's voluntary Sustainability Report provides information about where the company has set its substantive priorities in 2023. The report is available digitally and can be accessed on the company's website: https://www.ms-industrie.de/en/investor-relations/sustainability-reports/.
