With Aidan Burley, QluPod AG was able to gain an experienced management consultant and successful entrepreneur from the IT industry and ecommerce in the healthcare sector. Aidan previously worked with the NHS to build and deliver strategically aligned business change programmes to support the deployment of new NHS data and IT systems as part of the National Programme for IT. He also helped design the NHS 111 telephone service as an alternative to 999. In addition, during his time as a Member of the British Parliament, Aidan Burley was responsible, among other things, for helping to save his local hospital from planned closure by working with senior Health Ministers, including the Secretary of State for Health, to design ways to deliver other services from Cannock hospital. Based on his experience, Aidan Burley is certain that telemedicine is an area with great growth potential. "The telemedicine industry has grown by over 2,000% in the last three years and yet we are still in the early stages of enormous growth," he explains.
