Serviceware SE: Serviceware extends cooperation with KPMG in Germany

Bad Camberg (pta008/18.06.2020/09:00) - -
- Joint service offering for companies in the field of transfer pricing
- Joint marketing of the respective products and services
- Large companies and groups in the focus of the joint offering

Bad Camberg, 18 June 2020. Serviceware SE ("Serviceware", ISIN DE000A2G8X31) has extended its cooperation in Germany with KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft ("KPMG"). The two companies will cooperate on products and consulting services in the field of transfer pricing.

Serviceware and KPMG jointly support companies at the development and documentation of their transfer pricing systems in connection with intercompany service charges and their operational implementation. On the basis of an automated transfer pricing model of KPMG, Serviceware Financial generates reports for intercompany service charges and shows where and which costs have been charged. In this way, tax regulations are complied with and risks are minimised.

Within the framework of the cooperation Serviceware enhances, in conformity with its strategy, the targeting of large international companies and groups, for which transfer pricing becomes increasingly significant. As a rule, this topic is covered directly on the CFO level; this allows Serviceware to approach top decision-makers within the company with the entire range of services of the ESM platform.

Companies must at all times be able to prove the intercompany prices they have charged for services and products between independent divisions, including abroad, to ensure the correct charging and determination of cost prices. In this connection compliance with the tax framework conditions for transboundary activities must be guaranteed. Inadmissible cost and profit transfers to foreign countries with lower tax rates can entail high penalty payments in many countries.

Dirk K. Martin, CEO and Co-Founder of Serviceware: "As a result of the cooperation with KPMG we cover an important topic for large international companies. This provides us with an extended joint access to potential customers and fits perfectly into the Serviceware growth strategy. The comprehensive expertise of KPMG in conjunction with Serviceware Financial constiutes a powerful tool for groups in the field of transfer pricing."

Michel Braun, Director, Tax - Global Transfer Pricing Services at KPMG: "The services provided by Serviceware and KPMG complement each other in the field of tax transfer prices and generate together a considerable added value for companies. As a result, tax risks can be controlled and the necessary information for documentation requirements can be processed. Transfer prices have many different touch points in a company. We not only keep an eye on tax law aspects but also take into account the impact on the entire process landscape or the business control logic and consider Serviceware to be an ideal partner to implement this sustainably."
