Frequentis AG: CFO Sylvia Bardach receives Grand Decoration of Honour by the Republic of Austria
Vienna (pta012/28.10.2019/10:18) - Sylvia Bardach, Chief Financial Officer of Frequentis AG, is delighted to receive a special award. During a formal ceremony on 24 October 2019, Federal Minister Elisabeth Udolf-Strobl awarded her the Grand Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria. CFO Sylvia Bardach has been contributing to the successful growth of Frequentis for almost 40 years. When she joined Frequentis in 1989, the company had 64 employees and an annual turnover of EUR 5 million. In May 2019, Sylvia Bardach, together with her colleagues on the Executive Board, took Frequentis to the Vienna and Frankfurt stock exchanges, positioning Frequentis AG as an internatio-nally operating, family business with almost 1,800 employees and a 2018 turnover of EUR 294 million. This has been made possible by Sylvia Bardach's dedication and expertise, in the form of skillful financing, comprehensive liquidity protection, and the financial and strategic management of the Frequentis Group. "With Sylvia Bardach, we not only have an excellent financial expert on board, but also someone who knows better than anyone else how Frequentis really ticks," says CEO Norbert Haslacher. "Our colleague is regarded as the soul of the company!" Sylvia Bardach has had a decisive influence on the Frequentis culture through her trend-setting staff initiatives and has positioned Frequentis as an employee- and family-friendly company. Flexible working hours, a wide range of leave arrangements and the "Frequenty Children's Weeks" programme, to look after employees' children during the summer break, are just a few examples. Management skills and high social responsibility But it is not only her management skills and her high social responsibility for Frequentis' employees which distinguish Sylvia Bardach, but also her indestructible optimism and fighting spirit. Sylvia Bardach started her career at CDS Computer and Data Systems in 1980, where she was responsible for the design and implementation of a general cost and project cost accounting system. In 1989, after a company merger, Ms. Bardach joined Frequentis. She began with a focus on accounting, but soon turned to her passion - controlling, and over the years built up a comprehensive cost and project cost accounting system. She has also created key service units that enable Frequentis to deliver products and solutions to over 140 countries around the world. In 1991, Sylvia Bardach was granted power of attorney for Frequentis, which had since grown into a group of companies. In 2000 she was appointed to the Management Board of Frequentis AG and has since been responsible for all finance departments, human resources and a range of other central services such as IT and Legal & Contracts. This has laid a solid foundation for the continued sustainable growth of the Frequentis Group. About FREQUENTIS
